Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement is the largest peasant uprising in Chinese history. In January 1851, Hong Xiuquan and others began to mobilize troops in Jintian Village, Guiping, Guangxi. In a short period of two years, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom moved northward from Guangxi and successively invaded Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Anhui, and other six provinces. In January 1853, the Taiping Army broke through Wuchang, and in March, it fixed its capital in Nanjing, renamed Tianjin, confronted the Qing Dynasty, and dealt a heavy blow to it. It can be said that it is rare in Chinese history for the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom to achieve such great success in such a short time.
