Was the popular song "Man Jiang Hong" written by Yue Fei or not?
For a long time, this word has been written by Yue Fei, a famous general in the Southern Song Dynasty. However, since modern times, there are more and more people who think that the word is not original by Yue Fei. The so-called expert's judgment even appeared on the Internet, which was determined to be a fake by future generations under the name Yue Fei.

the head of anger, by the fence, Xiaoxiao rain rest. Look up, roar up to the sky, magnificent and fierce. Thirty famous specks of dust and dirt, eight thousand miles of clouds, and months. Do not wait for leisure, white juvenile head, empty sorrowful. The shame of Jingkang has not yet snowed. When will the subject hate it? Drive a long car and break the gap in Helan Mountain. Ambition to eat hungry Hu captive meat, laugh about the thirst for Xiongnu blood. Wait to start all over again, clean up the old mountains and rivers, and rise to the sky!

whenever we read the well-known "Man Jiang Hong", the heroic spirit and enthusiasm expressed by the author for battlefield conquest, meritorious deeds, and devotion to the country will make our blood boil even thousands of years later.

for a long time, this word is believed to have been written by Yue Fei, a famous general in the Southern Song Dynasty.

but since modern times, more and more people think that the word is not original by Yue Fei. The so-called expert's judgment even appeared on the Internet, which was determined to be a fake by future generations under the name Yue Fei. So, is the noun "strong" written by Yue Fei or not?  what is the focus of the controversy over it?

argument 1. There is no record of

in the Song Dynasty. It is not difficult to find that the existing materials show that the famous scholar  Yu Jiaxi was the first to question the writing of "Manjianghong" written by Yue Fei. In Siku Summary Dialectics, he pointed out that this word was first seen in the remains of Yue Wumu compiled by Xu Jiajing in the fifteenth year of Ming Jiajing (1536). It was based on the stele of Yue Fen ci written by Zhao Kuan, vice envoy of Zhejiang Province in the fifteenth year of Hongzhi (1502).  but Zhao Kuan did not mention the origin of this precious poem. Before that, this word has never been mentioned by anyone in the Song and Yuan dynasties.

and the important historical materials for the study of Yue Fei's life, the compilation of the Quintessence of the Gold of Hubei (hereinafter referred to as "Zi Bian"), compiled by Sun Yueke, has not been described. You know, when collecting Yue Fei's last essays, Yue Ke spared no effort. It took 31 years from material selection to publication, but why is there still no record of this word?

what we need to know about this is that after years of practice, Chinese historians have proved that in the current historical research, a large number of historical facts of the Song Dynasty that were not recorded by the people of the Song Dynasty have been found in the materials of the Ming Dynasty. it is a common phenomenon (for details, you can see the historical materials of the Song Dynasty copied from the remnants of Yongle Dadian). Therefore, quoting the relevant historical materials from the works of the Ming and Qing dynasties is an aspect that should not be ignored in the research data source of the history of the Song Dynasty.

from this point of view, there is no record of "Manjianghong" in the materials of the Song Dynasty, which does not mean that Yue Fei did not write this word.  according to the textual research of Mr. Deng Guangming, a famous historian, there is a great loss of all kinds of official and private documents and notes and novels in the Song Dynasty. At present, we cannot rule out the possibility that the materials recorded in the Song and Yuan dynasties "Manjianghong" were seen by people in the Ming Dynasty, but the original book was lost later.  you know, at the time of Yue Fei's death, all the manuscripts saved at home were seized, and the family could not keep them properly.  since then, Qin Hui and his henchmen have dominated the imperial government, and all the clerical readers related to Yue Fei have experienced a catastrophe, either changed beyond recognition or destroyed.

to Song, Xiaozong rehabilitated Yue Fei, but after more than ten years of continuous dispersion of relevant materials, and through the efforts of Yue Lin and Yue Ke, it is still impossible to collect all Yue Fei's last essays, and it is only natural that they are not included in Zi Bian. There is no lack of examples in the history of some literary works. Qin Fu Yin by Weizhuang was unknown for 900 years at the end of the Tang Dynasty, but later generations never doubted its authenticity.

  argument 2.

following Mr. Yu Jiaxi, the great lyricist  Mr. Xia Chengtao also questioned this word.  he believes that the word "Helen Mountain" was located in Xixia at that time. And Yue Fei is an anti-Jin general, he is to lead the Yue family army to "go straight to Huanglong House", that is, in Jilin Province today, it is simply a far cry from Helen Mountain in Ningxia today.  if this word had been written by Yue Fei, as a wise military commander, he would never have made such a mistake in geographical common sense.

this view was once widely accepted by some "keypad warriors". Some people even use it as an argument, pointing out that Yue Fei does not have the basic military geography literacy, and that Yue Jia's army is bound to fail in the Northern Expedition. But we know that Yue Fei is from the Song Dynasty, and there was a war between the Northern Song Dynasty and Xixia in the Song Dynasty, so it is okay to use Helen Mountain to refer to the enemy.  and poetry is expensive to understand. Xin Qiji once compared Chang'an to Bianjing, and Lu you also compared Tianshan to the Central Plains. Compared with Yue Fei, Xin Qiji was once a general, and Lu you was also full of martial arts, but no one said that they had made geographical mistakes.

argument 3. The word meaning style is not characteristic of Yue Fei

some scholars think that "Manjianghong" is impassioned and heroic, which is a bold and unrestrained ci. However, it is now recognized that the Little heavy Mountain written for Yue Fei is a graceful, melancholy, and hesitant work. The writing styles of the two words are very different, and they are not written by one person.

however, Yue Fei is not a writer or full-time poet, and no one will classify him as a euphemism writer in later generations. That being the case, why can't Yue Fei dabble in the bold and unrestrained school? Ci?

Get rid of stubborn evil but also drive, do not ask the altar, Marquis. It can be seen that this poem is quite similar to the style of in Manjianghong, "aspiring to eat Hu and captive flesh, laughing and talking about the thirst for Hungarian blood" and "waiting to start from scratch, clean up the old mountains and rivers, and Chaotian que".

and also a famous general of the same generation, didn't Xin Qiji write, "suddenly look back, but that person is in the dim light"  such a very high level of euphemism? But now people mention Xin Qiji, but they all know that he is the representative of the bold faction.

therefore, many writers are good at two or more styles in history. There is no reason for us to question whether Manjianghong is the work of Yue Fei because of the problem of literary style.

Mr. Deng Guangming, a famous expert in the history of the Song Dynasty, once made a very meaningful conclusion:  "Man Jiang Hong" is Yue Fei, and Yue Fei is "Man Jiang Hong". "  Lao Deng also wrote to Mr. Xia Chengtao:  "Why to write articles to distinguish between true and false!"  although there is no conclusive evidence to indicate that the word was written by Yue Fei himself or a fake given by later generations.

but to be fair, this poem is full of ambition and passion, and it is an excellent poem with deeds, aspirations, and ideals, and its content is precisely the true portrayal of Yue Fei's loyalty and commitment to the country.

compared with Yue Fei's life story, Yue Fei has the ability and reason to write such magnificent works  (for example, Yue Fei was appointed as the commander of Jiangnan West Road, Shu, and Qizhou at the age of 30, and became the commander-general of Duzhen in the Southern Song Dynasty. At that time, Yue Fei bought Sijiangzhou, and it was rainy in the autumn of the lunar calendar, so there was a sentence of "Xiaoxiao rain break" in the words. Also, Jiangzhou was ordered to enter the dynasty, "take into account its itinerary, more than eight thousand miles", and "eight thousand miles of cloud and moon").

therefore, as future generations, we do not have to dwell on trivial issues and deny that the word is written by Yue Fei. Even if it is a fake word, it is of considerable historical status and literary value, which can not be compared with any other pseudo-poetry.
